The Municipal Museum of Moixent traces the history of the term from Prehistory to Modern Times, with special attention to the Iberian period (6th-1st C. B.C). In fact, much of the exhibited objects come from two major Iberian sites: the village of La Bastida de les Alcusses and the necropolis of Corral de Saus. Visitors can observe the objectsof everyday life in the town of La Bastida such as tableware, weapons, mills, jewelry and ornamental objects. It also exposes an exact replica of the iconic figure of the “Guerrer de Moixent” (Moixent’s Warrior). Sculpture fragments from Corral de Saus are exposed such as architectural elements and animals which stand on the tombs of the most powerful personalities and personal goods which were placed in the graves. The museum has also a visual and virtual reconstruction of La Bastida de les Alcusses and an interactive display of the Iberian writing.
